Our Heritage Home
Situated on a quiet no-through road on the north west shore of Denman Island, our 3 bedroom house sits in the centre of a one acre partially wooded property that extends to the beach. The deck off the kitchen is shaded by the ancient apple tree, and the tree house is built around the hollow maple. The cedar shake house was the original farmhouse on this area, and we have restored it by finding vintage windows and fittings wherever possible. - The bright kitchen with a large skylight, is fully equipped, and features a cedar table which comfortably seats eight. French doors lead onto the deck.
- The lounge with sea views through the large character windows, also has a wood burning stove for cooler evenings or winter days.
- The bathroom is unique, with the basin set into sculpted driftwood, fir counter and cedar paneling, bath and shower.
- The master bedroom has a pine queen bed, lush drapes and brass oil lamp.
- The second bedroom looking out to the ocean has twin beds, antique furniture and hardwood floors.
- The attic room has two skylights, twin beds and a trundle bed.
- Non-smoking environment.
Activities
- Space and equipment is ample for badminton and volleyball.
- The beach is fascinating and very safe. Crabs and starfish abound along with a host of shellfish.
- Fishing is good all around the island and local guides are available.
- Kayaking and canoeing is a great way to explore the shoreline of the island and the marine park at the north end of the island
- The quiet roads are ideal for cycling and there are a great many trails for walking.
- Join the locals for a game of soccer on Sunday morning or just watch the world go by with coffee and a 'goody' at the bakery.
- There are a number of very talented artists and potters on the island, so make sure you leave space for the treasures you just have to take home with you!

- Kitchen Range with oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, filter coffee maker, bodum coffee maker, toaster, table for 8.
- Lounge Wood burning stove, stereo with cd and tape, small but fun library. Games and puzzles galore.
- Outside Picnic tables, umbrella, chairs, barbecue, volleyball and badminton net plus equipment.
Bedding and towels supplied. Please bring your own Beach Towels. Aqua socks are recommended for the beach.
